I installed Air Lift's air spring and compressor system before heading out to with the 5th wheel. Installation was pretty straightforward. I also used an upfitter switch for the first time on the 2017. That was a piece of cake.
For any who are interested, here's the little project.
Almost looks like enough room for a small tank above the spare also. I need to ask my dealer for a replacement lock in the bumper, mine has fallen out, I guess it wasnt locked when originally installed.

It would have to be a small tank to fit in between the spare tire and the bed. I haven't decided where to put the 2.5 gallon tank yet but now I know there's plenty of room for two more 100% duty cycle compressors.
This is encouraging - I'd like to install an air tank for tire fills but I wonder how long it will take an onboard air system to fill up these tires (I'd like to air down for off roading and air back up from the onboard air system).
Nice. One thing I really like about the Ford is all of the apparent room under the bed, even on the short ones. With the others, it seems you need the LB to do anything under bed.
Still considering air bags, just to level my trailer, I cant get a hitch adjusted to levle it properly, since it has torsion axles it is supposed to be as level as possible.
