all 289's, 302's up to 1980 and all 351W's have the same 28oz balance factor

289 flexplate question

There is only one possible difference, the early 289s had a smaller 5 bolt bellhousing and that means that the flywheel is smaller and different i believe.

289 flexplate question

The 5-bolt and early 6-bolt "small" bellhousing used the same small diameter flexplate.
