302's before 1980 (or early 80's) had used a 28 oz 157 tooth flexplate/flywheel. If it's the same size, I'd say yer good to go. They are found almost everywhere.

you can buy a new one for the 289, 28oz 157 tooth for under $50.
I do have my original one still, has maybe 20-25 teeth rounded off.
its yours for the shipping.......
