Does anyone know who sells a speedometer cable to fit a 67 F250 4x4? Thanks in advance
Is there a difference where/how the speedometer cable is attached on a 4wd vs a 2wd? Or is it a length issue? MT 2wd is 82" and is available from Rockauto from ATP Y801 for ~$9 + shipping.
If you still have the original cable can you measure the housing length?
I am not sure which transfer case it has. It is actually a F350 crew cab 4x4 ordered new by the railroad in Montana. I was told the dealership sent it to Marmon-Herrington for the 4wd conversion. I listed it as a F250 4x4 because the F350 wasn't offered in 4wd until 1979 by Ford. I assumed the transfer case used would have been the transfer case for a 67 F250 4x4.
MH probably used a Dana 24 divorced case just like Ford did, but double check just to make sure that it is not a NP 205 which is different. Never assume things with Fords and especially conversions such as this. If it a NP 205 case, then you might be able to use a 68-74 Econolpne cable which is 104" and the right end at the transfer case.
