Still can't get it to work unless you have IDS to shoot a different VIN in the PCM. We tried a different program to reprogram the pcm but still no luck.
But its been working on my truck already for 5k miles or so until forscan cracks the coding on the pcm then it could work for your do it yourselfer. No dealership will shoot a different vin in a trucks pcm.
Would not even consider a vehicle without a full moon roof. The last 4 vehicles I have had (3 of them fords) have had it and none have leaked. As has been stated earlier, dramatically changes the interior. Also I believe it is an advancement in engineering. There are more than a few other manufacturers that still do not offer this option. I checked Mercedes a couple of years ago and they did not offer.........they may now, but Kia, Hyundai, and Ford have for years now.
I'm taking delivery of my new truck Tuesday. One feature I had to let go was the ACC in order to get the truck I wanted with the options I wanted.
anyways... It's a 2018 Lariat with the 502a and Technology package.
the thread made it sound like adding this to a F-150 was easier. What is involved? Giving the hardware hooked up shouldn't be too difficult... But all the programming I have no idea how that would get accomplished.
There is some good installation information buried in the FORScan thread. Here are links to some posts. I was going to do this but have not yet mustered the energy.
