If you enable NAV in motion there's no avoiding the Euro looking speed limit sign.
Interesting. I have never had the euro style show up in over 26K miles until these changes. Does not matter if NAV is on or turned on in motion. Not important but I liked the rectangular icons much better. They are still on the dash display, just not the center unit. But also the route numbers changed and now there is a US, NY, or IS road sign icon with the rte number on a sign before the written description of the highway.
Thanks for the the response Livnitup and most importantly thanks for your work on Forscan which benefits us all. Your benefit will be remembered!
Hey Guys, two options I'm looking to change/code with ForScan, hoping someone can help. I've made a bunch of other tweaks based off the spreadsheet, but haven't been able to find anything on these:
1) extend remote start max time from 15 minutes to 30 minutes? When its sub-zero, 15 mins isn't long enough to get things nice and toasty
2) turn off automatic engine idle shut down
3) Change units on boost gauge only to PSI from kPa. I can accomplish this through the display, but I have to change everything over to imperial (miles, gallons).
Hi guys. I have a '16 but am helping two guys. One with an '11 and one with a '12.
The first one has already been here and I tweaked a couple things for him like DRL and Bambi, but nav in motion and dpf screen didn't work from the '16 spreadsheet.
Is there a spreadsheet for the 11/12 that's different?
Anyone know if it's possible to change the theme to the Lincoln background but keep the Supertduty splash screen?
[QUOTE=1956Fatfenders;17569133][SIZE=3]Found a video showing background color change on Sync 3 so I tried it. In my opinion, this is way easier to look at than all the blue.
In APIM:
7D0-01-02 change to 8xxx-xxxx-xxxx
7D0-03-01 change to xxxx-x2xx xxxx
So stupid question with an easy answer i hope. I registered on the Forscan site, got my authorization code, logged back in to verify it works, downloaded the Windows version from the site to my desktop. Here's where it's funky in my opinion.... I attempt to open the app via the shortcut and get the following message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I opened the FORScan folder and there's not a "FORScan*****" in the folder. Only a "data" folder with a txt and a bunch of bin files, an "images" folder with just gifs in it, a "FORScan.Changelog.txt", a "FORScan.EndUser.License.txt", a "unins000.dat", and a "unis000*****" file. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this version a couple times as well as the Wine version and I get the same thing. Error message and no "FORScan*****" file anywhere.
I haven't ordered the "ScanTool 426101 OBDLink MX" from Amazon yet because i don't want to waste $85 bucks for nothing. Am i doing something wrong or just being stupid somewhere? I followed all the steps and links on page 1 so now i'm at a loss.
Okay, i just re-deleted the existing FORScan app from my computer and re-downloaded it. I looked in the folder and now have the "FORScan, exe" however when i click on the ,exe or the shortcut i still get the same error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." Is this expected until i get the ScanTool? I would expect it to at least open once you click on the shortcut or exe file and not get the error message. I'm an admin on my Dell Windows laptop so i doubt that is the issue, but might be.
Thanks for any advise.
Mike

Reason: updated wording
Epic, When i click that link it gives me a bad url message but i'm assuming you're pointing to the "FORScan Codes for 2017 Super Duty" document and pointing to the "Setup" tab. I guess my main concern/question is, is the FORScan supposed to open after you install it or does it need to have the Scantool and be hooked up to the truck to open without an error message? Debating buying the tablet that the "FORScan Tutorial" google doc has linked to at Amazon in case it's my laptop causing the issue
Just wanted to offer up a little glitch I noticed with the 2 honk delete, 2017 F250 Lariat.
If truck is running and I open the door, jump out and hit the door lock on the inside door panel, it will double honk. If I hop out of the truck and use the button on the fob or the exterior handle, it will not do the double honk.

On the Setup tab there is a link to FORScan training that give more detail on the installation. You don't have to have the adapter installed to activate the Windows sofware. If you try you'll get a message, "No ELM found".
Kinda related - do you guys leave your OBDMXII plugged in at all times? I have been taking mine out after each use. Didn't appear that the thing ever shut off - lights on it would stay on for what seemed like long time after I locked my truck.

I only plug it in when needed. Not sure why you would want to leave it plugged in all the time?

I remove mine after each use but have accidentally left it plugged in many times for days and it won't drain the battery dead. I seem to remember reading something about it being safe to leave it plugged in and that it goes into a very low (or no) current draw after some period of inactivity.

I leave mine plugged in at all times. There is no harm in doing this. Some people use the connector to run a dashboard on their cell phones, etc.

I disconnect mine and put it in the center console. If I had Forscan lite I would be more likely to leave it plugged in, except that my truck sits for a couple weeks between trips.
