Simple green is not a cooling system flush chemical and it is corrosive to aluminum, but it's your truck. If you let the engine come up to temp with the cap off it will bleed the air out, that is the purpose of the 2 vent hoses in the degas. For $50-$70 for coolant I would do it once correctly.
I agree that the air will work its way out the way you described, but the "burping" process clears it more quickly and completely as the air doesn't all come out quickly (the release of pressure adds velocity to the fluid and air movement). That is why Ford recommends vacuum filling. Fortunately the 6.0L is not like the 6.4 L and nothing catastrophic happens when NOT using the vacuum fill process.

icic ok ya I'm gonna give the "burping" process a try and I'm gonna use liquid cascade to clean the system probly Friday.
All my issues are gone. It must have been air in the system as my delta problems are no more. Thanks for all the help guys! Still gonna do a flush tomorrow and put in fresh coolant but she's running fantastic!
