Fuse block question

Morning Folks!
Ive got a diagram of the fuse block for the old beast handy and I don't know what C1960, C1961 and C1962 are...or if anything is even supposed to be connected into them? Anyone lend a hand with this?

The "C" is for connection. Not sure what they where for. 8f you have the Ford manual go to the wiring diagrams. You could also use a test light to see if they are hot.

You are invited to join the GA chapter. Glad to see another IDI owner fairly close by. I am in Thomaston, but we are buying land in Monticello.

You should create a signature with your truck described so we will know what “the old beast” is. Wiring is not always the same with the different design change years. I had to look at your profile and it indicates 1983 F250

This is from my 1987 shop manuals on CD.

C = CONNECTOR

C1960 is on the fuse panel, 1 terminal. The color of the connector itself is shown as 'N.' I don't know what color that is unless it means 'Neutral.'

The wire from it is LB/BK = Light Blue/Black tracer (stripe). This wire goes to the power window controls, both windows at the Master Window Control (LH) drivers side and a splice before that which takes a same color wire to the RH Window Control passenger side.

If you have power windows and need more details I'll tell you more or post the diagrams. It's almost 7 AM and I haven't had any sleep yet -- I have to go through quite an ordeal to post images and no way I can go through all of that now.

C1961 does not exist in the 1987-91 design series (I searched through all 5 manuals) that includes all F150-350 Trucks, E150-350 Vans or Broncos which are Generation 8 (87-91) with all engines. 1984-86 is generation 7 and your 1983 is generation 6. I think that's right.

Therefore C1961 is going to be something that was in the 83 trucks/Vans/Broncos and maybe also the 84-86 series but not 87 and later. Being numbered between 1960 and 1962 my guess is something related to doors and windows. For example, the 1950s numbered connectors I saw are (similarly) for Bronco tail gates (windows and locks).

C 1962 is on the fuse panel and is shown as a BK (Black) connector, single terminal. The wire is BK/W (Black/White stripe) and goes to the power door locks.

There are some plugs for the wiring between the fuse panel and the components at the other end which also have other terminals (pins) in them but since I have no idea what you are doing or trying to accomplish other than just knowing what the connector numbers in the fuse panel diagram are for, I'll just tell you that much for now.

They are power taps, so you don't have to splice in a wire to add an accessory. One should be battery power, the other ignition power.

I'll work on the signature when I get to an actual computer ha! Thinking I need to invest in a shop Manual for this truck...especially if it covers the Bronco since I've got an '82 I was working on as well. Seriously appreciate the info!

Yup! I'll add it to the signature here in a few - How does one go about getting the shop manual for these truck anyway? That's something I'd really like to have!!! Especially after the electrical gremlin I ran into last night
