Holiday update:
The high pressure p/s hose decided to rust out and pee fluid out this time. I guess the bright side is I get to change the ATF in the power steering system.
Enjoy the photos!
Now a question for ya'll: How many lines are there in total 2 or 3? Does anyone kindly have a part number list or a diagram handy so that I can order 3 lines and be done with it?
Attaching a Rock Auto cart here for confirmation on what I should order.
I'm about to have to do the same on Rudolph, but am assembling my 6.0 The Monster again instead. Rudolph has more issues than I'm willing to deal with right now.

I feel you on that.
Just be super careful starting the threads of the new lines into the gearbox, I accidentally buggered up the first couple of threads and had to spend an hour with a thread file massaging some new threads into the new lines...
Finished the driver side exhaust manifold at last. Had a warm shop, a lift, as well as a couple of seasoned buddies to help me do the work.
8 out of 10 studs snapped, not a single nut was removed since they were so rusty, all had to be busted off with an air hammer + super long chisel attachment. Was able to get a few studs to spin out with heat + vise grips. Welded nuts to a bunch of others, low wire speed + more arc on the MIG combined with large bolts seemed to be the key to success. Had to drill one upper stud on cylinder 10, it had been broken for some time so couldn’t weld to it really due to all the corrosion... Was a pain but we got most of the stud drilled out, chased the threads and got a new stud in about 3/4 of the way, good enough for government work.
All in all not horrible, but I did bust yet another rusty hard line going to the huge can between the power steering reservoir and the air filter housing. Is that big can the charcoal canister? Made a repair with some fuel hose and hose clamps.
RemFlex gaskets are working great, even though they did take forever to torque down, that being said they are worth the money in my book. Truck is quiet as a church mouse now. An added bonus is that I apparently have PI heads on my truck, according to the casting letters on the rear of the drivers side head, hooray!
^
Ah great, thanks for the confirmation. My fuel line fix seems to have worked, drove the truck about 100 miles yesterday and no CEL.
Spending two days getting dirty, burned, and scraped up was worth it, feels like the truck gained 30 horses, runs quietly and smoothly.
You definitely saved that one from being run into the ground and then scrapped, and did a fine job at that!
Hopefully number 3 will soon be added to your fleet and the next rescue can begin!
Did you tell the new owners about this place?
