Good evening folks. Just posting to ask whether one can straight swap out a regular windshield washer switch for an intermittent washer switch. I assume that since the latter was a factory option, the answer is yes; but LMC charges a bit for shipping and it's worth the humility to get it right the first time. Thank you.
Thanks for the quick reply and great video !
Since I have a LOT of projects ahead to get things working, I'll delay the wiper delay and live with the old two-speed.
The older 78/79 (box plug and play) can be hard/$$ to find..but I believe a newer (80's to 80's ish??) can be located and just a fairly simple wire/pin mod to get working??
What 77/79F250 says. Almost every truck from the middle 80's around here came with the intermittent wipers. Easy to check in the bone yard, if you can turn the switch counter clockwise it has them. The wiring if I recall is just moving a wire to keep the washer working. Don't delay finding the parts, eighties was a long time ago and that old heavy iron get crushed faster now days.
