Just got a "new" 2003 F-250 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. Needless to say I am amped!
After finding very little by way of the search function, I was wondering if anyone has replaced their rear seats on this model with the fold-up type found starting in '04? I want to install a safe under the seat but it requires that the seat fold up and if mine folds up I haven't figgered out how to do it. If you know of a front opening safe that fits, that would also work. Safe needs to fit a long thing or two...
The one good idea I found in search was to have my local salvage yard do a search for an '04 or later seat. What years would fit? How complicated are any necessary modifications? Ant actual experience would be greatly appreciated!
i had an 01 XL that had a vinyl bench that I upgraded to a later 40/60 cloth from an XLT. I recall there were different seat belt arrangements, some were built into the seat, some were attached to the frame of the truck. Be aware to try and keep the similar style. If your not finding what you need check other cab styles, they differ as well.
