ESOF now standard on XL 4x4... does that infer the manual t-case and manual hubs are now a downgrade/credit option, or gone altogether? And what about the XLT, which also offered manual t-case and hubs as standard?
Some dealers who post video of their inventory have shown some Magma Red F-150s. Not impressive indoors with fluorescent lighting, but it looks very good outdoors.
I hope not, sure glad I was able to get manual T-case on the 17 on order. The vacuum hubs never worked reliably after 100K miles on my 06. I also like the mechanical clunk you get when you pull the lever.
Make's sense, F150 has the same trim level. Hope the SD doesn't get that ugly blue interior. Otherwise I will stick with the Platinum.
Yeah, will be interesting to see what colors and interiors they offer with it. What could it possibly have that the platinum doesnt? besides a few styling changes and badges. .....Does anyone know if ford has magma red on any existing cars/trucks to look at? Or is it strictly an new color for 18?....Doubt I will like it better than ruby, but you never know......Also, I wonder if caribou is out completely, or if you can still get it as a secondary two tone color. If its out what will replace it for two tone? maybe a nice light tan to match the camel?...i hope ....so many questions....LOL.....Just noticed "camelback two-tone" interior on limited. Anyone know what that is?
Here's a video of a dealer showing a Magma Red F-150 outdoors. Unfortunately, it's a Lariat Sport with all the decals, but you get good looks at the paint color in sunlight. It appears to be a shade or two darker than the Deep Molten Red that Dodge/Ram used for a number of years. Would work well with both the gray/black and tan interiors.
Is the info the sum and substance of changes for 2018 or is there likely much more to come?
So far, 2WD F-450, some color/finish changes, and some bundling of existing options to make the Limited.
Yawn...
Comparing the screenshot to the 2017 Product Guide, that looks like about it in a nutshell. Yawn is good to me...keeps my 2017 from being 'outdated' too quickly.
