Its easy to take the front off leaving the hood in place. There are a lot more bolts to take out this way but it is a one man job and it doesn’t take hours and help to get that hood realigned properly when you put it back on. Also all the wiring stays in place. I have had my engine out several times and have always done it without help. I made a lifting hook and mounted it on the center of the radiator support and lift the entire assembly out with the cherry picker in one piece that way I don’t have to chance damaging the radiator by lifting that monster over the radiator support. You do have to take the fenders loose enough to move them out an inch on each side to clear the radiator support.
