Hey guys I've been following this site for a wile now and get a lot of good info here this is my first post and hopefully someone can help. I've got a 96 f250 w/the 7.3 and after I start it and let it run for about 5 min it just shuts off it will restart right away with no problem it just shuts down it will even do it when driving. I had the same issue with my 02 never figured it out. wtf

 

Try a Ford or International CPS in it. Also, maybe the IPR O rings need changed. Take a look at the UVCH plugs for burned pins. In other words, it might be a lot of things.

 

Have you checked for error codes? I had a friend with a '95 7.3 that would die like that and he had a code for his ICP. After replacing it the problem was gone.

You could test that by unplugging the ICP and see how long it runs. That will set a code for sure though, so check for codes first.

Yeah two user name I opened a new acc. under the name Lee's green goblin for my son's truck that's the one I'm working on now. I was having some problems with it. It wouldn't take the PW so I asked for new one which brought me back to original UN of like a bus which was my first acc. for my 02 f350. it was my first diesel and a big f.in truck that was like driving a bus hence the name. Anyway there both me and all should straight now with L.A.B. Ill be putting in the CPS tomorrow and will post my results when I know whats what. Thanks for the help guys
