Just curious what your idle time is compared to total time. Last week on trip I noticed idle hours at 39, total run time 140, I never let this truck sit and idle, 4000 miles, it is September production, delivered early October, wish I had noticed this earlier, might go back to dealer and see how many hours are showing on trucks on the lot.
I test rode a truck that was delivered just 30 minutes before I got there. The salesman had to take it out of transport mode into run mode so I could test drive it. It had 10 hrs idle from the factory and I thought that was a lot. When I got mine I only had 2 hrs if I remember correctly. But I think it counts idle hrs as you sit at a stop sign, traffic light etc until your going a certain speed. I may be wrong but that's how it seems to me.
Seems to be the case
Mine had 2 hrs and 12 miles upon delivery
Now im at 6800 miles 170 hrs and 30 idle
I never sit and idle but i do hit stoplights and traffic
Average speed is a better indicator to me
My first 2017 6.7L had 9 hours run time with 5 hours of idle with 95 miles when I bought it. My second 2017 6.7L had 2 hours run time with 1 hour of idle and 13 miles.
After the first I made sure to check the second before leaving the lot. I'm not too sure why the first had so many idle hours.
With my latest 2017 6.7L I am now at 39 hours run time with 5 hours of idle with 1,400 miles. I try and not let it idle much where possible.
