2017 and Pullrite Superglide

Hi all,

New poster but I have been lurking for close to a year now, and, like others, I want to thank everyone for all of the information posted as it really helped me to order my first Superduty (Owned many 1/2 tons and spent time on that forum).

I ordered on 1/23 as follows:

350/6.7 CC SRW Shortbed Platinum
Loaded up with most of the options except PTO and a few other smaller one's.

I'm hoping someone might be able to answer this question:

If you have a Pullrite Superglide (ISR) 5th wheel hitch and it is mounted on the Pullrite ISR adaptor to the Puck System - How high off the bed does it come?

I'm trying to figure out if the entire hitch sits below the bed rails as I would like to install a Retrax Pro bedcover. If the hitch sits above the rails I will need another solution (Soft cover).

Looking forward to my first Superduty. Thanks!

With the factory hitch prep and adapter, you may lose upwards of another inch I would guess?

Thank you! That is what I needed to see. I will be using the factory ISR rail kit so mine will sit higher (About 1 1/2 inches) but it looks from your second picture like you have at least 2" of clearance so it should just make it. I'm psyched!

Thanks again!!

I have the same hitch in my 2015 superduty. I have the Reese adapter to the ford puck system. It sits too high for my bed cover to go over.

HMMM.....I guess it is hard to know unless someone has the exact set-up on a 2017. I know the bed rails are higher on the 2017's. It looks from the pictures above like there is plenty of clearance, but those are not the ISR OEM rails from Pullrite which is what I would be using (#2900 18K Superglide Hitch + #4442 ISR OEM Ford bed rail adaptor).

Pullrite tells me the entire assembly measures 20-21" and when I measured a truck at the dealer I got a "Hair" over 21". The Retrax sits over the bed rails.

I think it will be close, but unless someone has this exact set-up I think I will just wait, put the hitch in when the truck comes in, and then order a cover based on what I see.

My guess is it will fit, but it would be an expensive mistake to make. Thanks for all your help!
