Retractable cover and hitch

I think I want to go with a retractable bed cover and use the Andersen hitch.

What I'm not sure of is the "box" will be in the way of the Andersen hitch, this will be installed in a '17 shortbed.

Any set-ups out there like this? How about a favorite brand?

RetraxPro retractable with Demco fifth wheel hitch. No issues. Could even pull the retractable shut when not towing and covered up the hitch.

I have a Roll n Lock and also use a AUH. Both work perfectly together, I can close the cover with the hitch installed. Just install the red pin adapter so the hitch ball goes behind the king pin. That will give you adequate clearance from the bed rails.

Same cover with a B&W, no problems, I also modified my old cross bed tool box to be under the cover, I pull the cover back to within about 6” of the hitch while towing.

I have a AUH in a '15 SB, guessing the same size box, with a Bakflip G2. When its folded all the way to the front I have plenty of clearance for the hitch and when folded down the second fold clears the hitch ball no problem.

I guess my biggest concern was the box that the cover retracts into would hinder the hitch somehow. Never owning the Andersen or retractable cover, I just wasn't sure. Thanks for the help.

I use the ( http://www.peragon.com/land/retractable-truck-cover.php?utm_source=MSN&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=+ retractable%20+bed%20+covers^19020926798&utm_conte nt=4362983922&utm_campaign=General^56828&msclkid=4 78b2f4418da1274d52d7527bfeebc4f ) Peragon Cover. Altho I have the long bed with the Andersen hitch, it still will clear with room to spare. Peragon is a vendor here on FTE. Support our vendors. Email them for a discount for being on FTE.

I have a 2018 F350, 6 3/4 bed (on order). Plan to tow with the PullRite18K auto slider in factory pucks. PullRite requires an adapter to use their auto slider with the puck system. So it increases hitch height a coupe of inches. I’m towing a Grand Design Solitude. Anyone using a roller cover with a slider? I like the looks of the Retrax Pro. Any experiences you can share would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark
