2011 6.7 IDS Program Remote Start - DFW

Guys,
Is there anyone who can do this in the DFW Area at a reasonable cost? Any recommendations?

Antenna is already installed, and I have the keys for it already.

Autodetonation Ford = 149 + "shop supplies".
7 Star -2 Ford = approx 175.
Grapefruit Ford quoted me...get this... approx 650.

Should be about 10-15 minutes work looking at the Ford Programming Instructions.

Thanks for your help!

Do you have a pc? Download Forscan and become a member of their forum to unlock the full options of the software. Then, get yourself a Bluetooth OBD2 plug in and sync your laptop to the truck using forscan.

You should be able to program all sorts of things for less than $100 in materials. I think the wireless obd2 plugs are less than $50.

Also, search this 6.7 forum for Forscan threads, lots of info to help you. The info should be in the tech folder in here but I don't think it is yet. Maybe check.

Use can also use an ELM327 USB or bluetooth or WIFI for the OBDII port to access the BCM for remote start.

Might always want to turn on the Exhaust screen also.

Check the FORScan thread in the 6.7 forum

I'll check that option out... One thing this exercise did, was helping me decide where to shop when I'm looking for my next F250.

Thanks guys!

Looks like Grapefuit was pricing the system, not just the programming...

Yep. That's what I thought too.
Then I told him again, that; I had the proper remote start keys, the antenna was installed, and I only needed to have the Remote Start enabled thru IDS, Then he again said 650, and when would I like an appointment. I said no appointment at that price is in my future, and he said that's what they get for remote start. This was the service manager (I assume so, as that is who I asked for but who knows it could have been anybody). I politely told him to have a nice day, and called 7Star-2 Ford.

Trying to get something done regarding programming is ridiculous. Not quite enough to make we want a Cummins, but it's getting close.

7star-2 in Lewisville? If it was, call back and ask for Paul Schroeder. He knows diesels pretty well and has always been fair with me. I did do the Forescan thing myself to enable exhaust filter % screen though. Works great and I can start my own regens if I want at 80%.

So far, it seems only the 2011's and 2012's can perform a manual regen when the Exhaust screen is activated. No one has reported 2013 and newer being able to manually regen which sucks.

The guys have been working on this using FORScan.
