Starter issues

Hey guys. Im new to the forum and have recently purchased a 92 bronco. Since ive had it, it starts fine when its cold but after i run it for awhile it doesn't want to turn over. Like the battery is dead but i know it isn't. The guy i bought it from says he had the same problem and has recently changed the starter before i bought it from him. Ive read on some posts and most of the guys say check and clean grounds and some even say replace wires. They also talk about heat so ive wrapped the exhaust with heat shield but that didn't help. It also seams that it has gotten worse since ive had it. I thought about replacing the starter but wanted to try and get some input first. Ive also owned a 94 f150 but never had a bit of trouble from the starter the whole time i had it.

Update on my starter. So I ran a new 2 ga ground wire, cleaned all connections, put a 4 awg ground from the battery to the frame. She fired up like a champ! I ran it hard and got it good and hot, turned it off and she busted off again! Pretty sure that took care of it. The old ground wire had a few nicks in it and the copper was green so it needed to be replaced.

I call it the $25 tune-up. Getting juice where it needs to go has a lot going for it. For example, studies show just .06 ohms resistance (barely enough to measure) in the charging system reduces alternator output by almost 30%, not enough to notice at idle but under any kind of load it will choke. This will roast the innards and the battery will probably die prematurely.
