So!! Almost freaking done with my remote start installation.
On a 2003 F-250 5.4 XLT
My question please!!
Do I need to kill the factory Key less door entry locks??
Or can I simply install both remotes (Remote Start & Alarm WITH Factory Key less Entry? )
EDIT: Appears that Factory NON Alarm only keyless entry does work side by side with aftermarket remote start. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/...eyless.113870/
Also while I'm at it, the relay for the starter, that goes between the starting solenoid & the starter correct?
EDIT: Found it, wiring relay goes between the ignition wiring between the starter wire (Green & Lt green red.) Relay wire goes to alarm unit the "starter interrupt."
Thank you!! Probably going to do a write up when done, seeing as how I've pieced lots of helpful pictures wiring & tips.
Glad you were able to find out that both keyless door lock remotes still work as they should since they are independent of each other on how they generate the signal to actuate the locks.
