The campaign to stop and find violations on every HD OTR truck is still active but since most carriers have come into compliance the hoards of inspectors and trained deputy sheriffs and troopers are looking elsewhere for violators on which to prey, which brings them down to our level of search and ticket. And they have found a new source of revenue among the populous who choose RV's boats etc for their spare time. I have seen more and more vehicles with small trailers which even just appear to be overloaded stopped and searched. Landscapers are regularly checked mostly for hazmat, flammable and properly secured loads. And I believe much of this is the cry from citizens and insurance alike who want every vehicle to handle and perform like the multitude of tiny Civics which should somehow exonerate these idiots from driving with respect to other vehicles on the highway, regardless of size or weight or maneuverability. I fear with each notch the trucks of our dreams up the ante, law enforcement and regulation will follow for not only the "safety for all" mentality but the collection of the almighty dollar as well.

Well put Rob.
I live in Warren, and they are even pulling over unloaded trailers to check for trailer to vehicle GVW compliance, and once they pull you over the check everything from lights to safety chains. While I am all for them making sure that suspect trailer combos are safe, there is no common sense involved with their inspections, it is just another money grab by our current governor.
I have a 2016 F250 CCSB Lariat, 6.2 gas, 4.30 rear end, Camper Package, 5th wheel and gooseneck prep kit, and FX4 package. May payload sticker is 2500 lbs. Without the 5th wheel and gooseneck prep kit I am sure it would be closer to 2800 pounds.
My neighbor has a 2016 Platinum CCSB with the diesel and to inch wheels, and while I do not know what his payload is, we were recently comparing some things and my truck has the same spring pack as his F350, because I got the Camper Package.
I also have the 18 inch tires and Ford states the air pressure as 65 pounds but the Michelin ATX2's clearly state 80 pounds of pressure cold.
I put upper Stableloads and airbags on my truck as I will be hauling a truck camper.
