Higher number of hours vs miles i think is the cause,
Seems like alot of low speed and idling is why the computer decided to trip the light
My average speed is near 40 mph
Yours is near 20, 214 hrs would be the equivelent of me putting 8500 miles at 40 mph
Found in ForScan you can see the oil life remaining. At my 7600 or so miles I have 14% oil life remaining according to the computer. Also thought it was funny they have a diesel in oil sensor. I guess they learned something from the 6.0 after all.
My 2017 6.7 the oil was black at 1300 miles. Changed the oil and almost over night the oil was black again. Never had this with my 6.0. Why does the oil turn black so quick?

I wish this would display on the dash along with engine hours. It sure would be nice to know oil % remaining without needing forscan.
I reset it to 100% after every time I do the oil change. I never go off the truck cause they are setup to tell you that you need an oil change every 10k or 15k miles. I just go off my odometer and every 5k do the oil and every 10k do oil, fuel, air.
Would you be so kind as to post where and how to reset the oil life % indicator? I have gone through the settings on my 2017 SD 6.7L diesel Platinum several times and haven't found it yet.
