change oil??

I'm sorry for the ignorance of this thread but I have about 5,000 miles on my current oil change using Rotella T6 5w40. I have a 1,000 mile trip I need to take this weekend pulling my TT, and in two weeks will be pulling it to Florida for around 2,500 mile round trip. My question is should I change it before this coming 1,000 mile trip and the longer haul be on the end of my oil change cycle or go the extra mileage on current oil and have fresh oil for the longer trip?? Thanks in advance

You will get a lot of different answers on this.

I only go 5k miles on my synthetic.

The manual says 7500 miles if normal driving and 5000 miles if working the engine hard (like towing).

Some say synthetic can extend the stated Ford intervals. I do not subscribe to that.

Change it now and every 5,000 miles or 6 months. Your injectors will thank you.

what they said, dirty oil is like really bad in my perspective. i say that oil is much less expensive than engine components.
