$4895.00 Long Block. $399.00 gasket "0" ring kit. $175.00 shipping. $1000.00 Core Charge. Total $6469.00
We discussed "O" ring heads and a few other things and came to the conclusion that this being a daily driver, limited towing, and no tunes that the standard Long Block was what I needed.

Wow thats actually very reasonable IMO! Thanks for the info
Sean, I was willing to buy the Ford head gaskets upgrade but he talked me out of it. He said Victor Ritz? Has two styles of head gaskets for the 6.0. The one he uses he has had zero failures from them. The rest of the seals and gaskets I didn't ask. I know I know I'm gonna catch hell from everybody on here so time will tell
Monster-4 he might be in for a wait. I'm probably the slowest person to ever replace an engine
Ha! I believe he is getting the 20 over and stage 2 cam so it might be a bit before it arrives when he finally orders it. He's having a shop install it so that should go pretty quick once he does.
I'd like a few more details on that engine stand... How wide did you make it between the uprights? What size steel did you use? Any flex? What should you do different on a v2?
I will be making one at some point in the next couple months.
Yes. I am going Long Block. I haven't called them yet. I got busy on a project out of town for a few weeks and should have it wrapped up mid week then back to the fun. If I decide to keep my old engine and rebuild it, I'll have to bore at least 10 thousands. I'm still thinking about that. It would be nice to have a spare not to mention the knowledge I would gain.
Packagerjr thanks for asking.
It would not be nice to have a spare engine that is going to do nothing but rot. Waste of time and money.
