Are the two wires light blue and white with a black stripe?
If so, that's the plug for the electric assist choke (white/black) and throttle kicker solenoid on the carb (lt. blue).

the wires are (olive green with orange stripe) and a (thicker black).
this is also the harness from the 79 400/c6-auto 2wd
Well, this one stumped me. On the schematic, all the plugs that match the one in the picture don't have the correct wire colors .
Looks like it's time to trace them back and see where they go.
Can you show a picture of the plugs relative position when the wiring harness is fully run. As in does the plug naturally sit right behind the cab, end of trans, gas, tank, or hitch?

you got me thinking its something to do with a tow package. im going to put this one aside for the time being.
next question:
plug that comes out near radio area(see picture). what is it?
and also can i just unplug the seat belt plug? i assume its just for the buzzer?
thanks again guys
Last but not least....
my 79 wiring harness seems to have a different female plug for the key ignition then the actual ignition from my 74.
did they change that as well?
just need to purchase a ignition for a 79 i guess?

Yes, Ford played around a bit with the ignition switch socket. I believe there are three or four different ignition switches for the 73-79 trucks.
EDIT: I checked and there are three different ignition switches used: 73-76, 77, 78-79.
