Morris she is very sad right now. Add to that my grandmother having to go to the hospital before Molly passed and it has added to the stress. She isn’t eating much at the moment and it has given her an upset stomach the last day or two. But she just some time and lots of love. We will monitor her in car we need to get the vet involved to keep her from getting really sick.
Our travellers dropped in today and showed me they're truck, its got some rust holes on the body but thats it, the floor pan is almost as solid as the one in the 78 that I have in the shop. Motor has been well maintained and has no leaks, from the shine on the roof and hood it looks like it was sheltered most of its life. I'll crawl under it tomorrow with the lube gun, a paint brush with some oil and check everything that gets lubed. Frankie gave it her approval and will be helping tomorrow, Sally will get in on the action to. The girls took to them real fast so that was a good sign as it usually takes them a while to warm up to someone, they don't like the neighbor to the south but the guy on my north side is okay with them which is the way its supposed to be.
Got a chance to putter in the shop and now my work bench is ready for a sheet of metal and most of my sockets and wrenches are in the main tool box, gained some more floor space and now I have 2 more tool boxes to fill with the metal working, machining tools.
No doubt that Lucy is very sad Shaun, I`m sure she will all of the love and attention she needs to get past this. I hope your grandmother is ok.
It`s great to hear that the travellers made it in to your place safe and sound with the new to them truck, it`s a positive sign when Frankie and Sally give their approval on it. Good to hear that you can putter in your shop, hopefully your leg isn`t bothering you too much now.
I don't do being laid up to well and I had to get some more done in the shop when the chance presents itself. My foot feels like theres a stone under the ball area of my small toe, I've popped this canker wart out a few times and it can be 1/4" in diameter and hard like a stone, it'll take 3 or 4 trips to the Dr at least apparently.
I picked up some round corn bandaids, they look like the washer in a garden hose but are made of cloth. I picked up some cloth bandaids to keep it in place, this cushions the area but its still an irritant .
Hello Grant, only 3 C here this morning so pretty cool.
Is it painful or just irritating Perry?
Don`t forget to check out David`s journey back home to Ontario with his new to him 68 F100: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ss-canada.html
It's painful whenever there's pressure on it and when your relaxing you feel it, it's one of those things that's with you all day.
We're supposed to get an inch of rain from now until Friday night so that should mean a light drizzle for 3 days, right now it's just really cloudy.
That sounds right painful plus really annoying Perry.
If you have any extra rain send it here, we only got a small sprinkle yesterday so not enough to ease the grass fire situation here.
We're getting a mist for 3 days, the travelers are leaving tomorrow morning and I suggested they take the northern route up your way and Yellow Head it back to the tin can alley.
Debating if I want to go to the auction tonight, James needs a lawnmower and there's a gas and electric up for bid.
Old landfills are scary Shaun, no one really knows what`s in them.
I`m in the Saskatoon area, looks like your most direct route is mainly through the USA, unfortunately you`ll miss my area completely. Use google maps for a direct route.
Hopefully you`ll get decent mileage tho not likely anything near 2,000 mpg.
Hey man ! We are driving through Canada! Have had some great meetups with some FTE members - Privateer was great he crawled under the truck and showed me all my service points! We are looking to get some welding done, don't know if you know anyone in town who might handle a couple rusted corners. Any help would be great!
Even a 3 day mist would be quite welcome here. You should go to the auction tonight to let me know what bargains you find.
It would be nice if you came my way David, hopefully I`d have time to meet up. I`m glad Perry could help you out. I`m in the same boat, I have to get a couple of my cab corners replaced.
I'm avoiding the auction tonight as there's nothing there that I need and lawnmowers are available anytime that I want one. If I went it would either be a sleep fest or I'd buy a bunch of stuff that I don't need.
