Hello Shaun, Perry, Grant and all who lurk here.
Almost done your reno`s John?
A big fire at a local military base made some folks, including me, very uneasy Sat night: https://globalnews.ca/news/4178061/d...tchewan-smoke/
Those are not usually fun Morris. I live in the shadows of the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. Lost of stuff still buried in the ground there from all of the weapons testing they have done over the decades. Every so often we here some of there testing at home and the office.
So very true Morris. Maryland sees alot of military stuff. From the proving ground to other installations and of course the navy is a big part in the state as well. I live near 2 old army forts. 1 was a coastal defense fort and is now a park and the other was essentially a proving ground and is now a business park. In fact teh jeep which was developed for WWII was tested no more then 10 minutes from my house.

The reno is getting there Morris, wall coverings up and floor laid down ,toilet and vanity installed today..
I always thought that the navy was cool, it beats being in the army marching for miles on a very hot or vey cold days. It would be neat to visit those old army forts.
I`m about 25 miles as the crow flies from that fire prone base and that`s more than close enough for me.
Good to hear your reno is getting there John, just in time for cruising.
I'll be cruising no matter what Morris...just have some trim work and some touch up painting to do in the bathroom and the laundry and utility room floors to do and they are small so should have no problem finishing them in a day and get the baseboards back on and hang a door..
GOIN ACROSS CANADA BC-ON who's got advice/places I should go
I bought a 1968 F100 with the 300 CID 6 in it in Osoyoos BC and I'm driving it home to Ontario. Looking for places I can't miss along the way, pretty places and cool stuff. I dunno. Anyway, had a shop in Osoyoos JF Customs look it over and rebuild the carb fully and put an electronic ignition in it. 4 new tires because the years had dried out the ones on it. What else should I be looking out for? Dino oil only in this engine correct? Thanks guys.
Morning MB and SK. Morris one of the old testing areas for the Proving Ground is around 7 miles or so as the crow flies from where I live. They would test chemical weapons there. They did that testing from the 50's until 1971. Lots of stuff still in the ground there.
Happy Hump Day Mornin'all. I had a 68 F250 with a 300. Great truck, Bulletproof engine. Enjoy you adventure. We lost our home opener last night 10-7. Poor kids playin in 5C weather. Have a great day guy's.
Good day everyone, finally some really nice days are coming our way.
Hello David and Don, congratulations your new to you 67 F100! Let us know what route you are taking on your way home. It would be a good idea to have the brakes, steering components cooling and ignition system closely looked. I`d use regular oil with a zinc additive. That`s one of my favorite yrs of Ford trucks.
Hopefully those chemical weapons have been properly looked after Shaun, not cool to hear of anyone glowing in the dark.
Bummer on the home opener loss Grant, 5 C weather is a little on the cool side.
For the most part they have Morris. Alot of that stuff has been destroyed at this point by the army. Less likely to be a target if they have gotten rid of that stuff. But who knows what is still buried in the ground from all of the years of testing there. Besides there is alot of contamination in my area just due to industry over the years. One of the worst ones was the steel mill that is now gone.
