FYI on the Gun confiscation bill referenced above. Despite and over objections from Senator Thatcher and Senator Linthicum over moral, legal and possible Senate Rules violations, Prozanski told Dembrow to make a motion which he did and the "gut and stuff" was moved to the Senate Floor for a vote. Time to start talking / emailing to our individual Senators. This is very dangerous bill and will be a very detrimental law. Originally advertised as an anti suicide bill, all it does is provide an avenue for property confiscation with absolutely no, zero, zip for mental health intervention or treatment for the person who is "dangerous to him or herself and/or others".
Morning all, and thanks Jim for staying on the idiots in Salem and keeping us informed.
47 here and nothing falling at the moment.
Got half the garden planted in between the rain showers yesterday.
Also bottled the last of the hard cider. Time to start the beer mesh next.
Good morning Oregon, a rather wet and stormy morning here in eastern Nebraska. Figures, I'm scheduled to go out and do our environmental monitor checks this morning.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 42, wet and light rain. Whatever was drying out is soaked again. Supposed to last all day. Our forecast says the T-Storms will arrive at 70% on Thursday. If we are lucky, we might see the sun again on Friday.
Trying to deal with some MURPHY items this morning and then at noon we are going to drive into the BIG little city and have lunch with some friends. It's a place with a rather ominous name, but with the way things are going, appropriate....'Tequila Grill". It is very possible I may easily forget about the 'Grill' part of the name.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Rained cats and dogs all day long.
Nice lunch at the Tequila Grill and we even skipped the Tequila. Afterwards, we got some errands run and decided to stop off and kill a couple of hours at the Museum.
In the morning we are meeting some friends at the Coyote Joe for breakfast and then going to spend the day at the Air & Space Museum. They've never seen it or the Spruce Goose so they are pretty excited.
I'm not sure if it is just the airplanes, the smells of aircraft taking me back to a younger adrenalin filled time, seeing some of the aircraft I have actually flown in, seeing other vets that flew (most of the docents) or a combination of all of the above, but I have a great time every time I go out there. Someday maybe they will even get a P-3 to put on display.
it is 0200 in Montana......
Can't get to sleep. I have a left foot that has been hurting a bunch... OTC pain meds do nothing for it.... I have to take Rx pain meds. That is starting to work some......maybe bed time again.......
