Didn't some of the dents have an extended fore frame to place a "hidden" spare tire. I've seen a couple of those and there's on on Dallas Craigslist right now..
I don't think they did that to the bumps though
I have a dentside with a flatbed I use for hauling hay. It also has a 150" wheel base. It was made that way for U-Haul and used to have a box on the back. Of course it's easy to tell because the interior is still that ugly orange color..
1967/72: F100 short wheelbase: 115" / F100/250 long wheelbase: 131."
W.B. (Wheelbase in inches) stamped on the 2nd line-far left of the Warranty Plate.
DSO code stamped on the 3rd line-far right of the Warranty Plate.
1967/72 F100/250: Cab & Chassis; Flareside & Styleside beds. 131" wheelbase: Factory installed Flat & Stake Beds; Open Drive-Away: Chassis & Cowl; Chassis & Windshield. Neither of these have a cab.
If the space below W.B. (Wheelbase) on the Warranty Plate is blank, truck was a Domestic Special Order due to an alteration of the original wheelbase. DSO code will have 6 digits.
But, the 6 digit DSO code could also apply to other non standard special equipment, installed after the truck left the assembly line.
Plus, if the space below COLOR is blank, truck painted a non standard color, making it a Domestic Special Order.

1973/79 F350 Regular Cab Styleside pickups on the 140" wheelbase:
1973/76 Super Camper Special; 1973/79 Trailer Special; 1977/79 Camper Special. Ford dropped 'Super' after 1976.
Your pic in post #47: Why the 140" wheelbase F350 8' Styleside bed is unique: These F350's have their Dana 70 rear axle set back further than other F350's.
The spare tire is located behind a door on the right side-front of the quarter panel.
I got the old girl fired up today. It's the season for hauling hay bales, that's all I use this truck for. It's slow and gets crap mileage but always starts.
First gear is so low that I can buck bales out of the field by myself - I just let it roll and walk along throwing bales up.
I thought I remembered the wheelbase being 150", it's actually 160"
