After looking at your pictures again I can tell you that your rear driveshaft looks different than mine. At the front of yours you have what looks like an adjustable length section where it gets thinner. Mine doesn't have that, it's the same diameter the whole length.
Like I said, the yoke has the adjustable part to compensate for suspension drop, yours looks like that part is in your driveshaft. Maybe your carrier bearing yoke is solid? That would also be different than mine.
All 3 of my trucks (67 thru 69) are long beds and they have two piece driveshafts. Is yours a shortbed? They have one piece driveshafts. That would be the difference.
One thing that hasn't been brought up yet is the possibility for that driver's door not being original. And therefore not the original warranty plate. If it was Ford that turned it in to 150" because the original purchaser ordered it special, the "original" warranty plate would be blank under W.B. or say 150. And there would be a 6 digit number under D.S.O. Have you checked both the frame Vin number and the warranty plate's Vin Number to be the same?
Please post a pic of your warranty Plate.
Note, I wonder what a Marti report would say about this rig. Marti Auto Works - Marti Report
Well I plan to start on this one after I finish my 69 F-250. I plan on pulling the cab off of the frame and completely going through this one. I'll just have to shorten the frame back to factory dimensions.
Or could get 2 beds and make a custom long bed

2X. While others are shortening their 8' beds you'd be doing the opposite. You know how there were some 9' Flareside bed Bumpside trucks? You'd have the only 9' (approx.) Styleside!
I smell a new and Cool build thread.

Since this truck hasn't had a bed on it in 50 years, I was thinking about building a flatbed for it anyway to haul my ATVs.
I think an extra long long box would look way better than a flat bed. ....it might present a problem with the side trim but, if you did extend a long box and didn't plan to install any bedside trim, that wouldn't be a problem.

That would be nice. There's been many-a-time where a 10 or 12ft pickup bed would have been fantastic. I always thought ford should offer such a thing and call it a "haul box". Just put a standard cab on a crewcab long bed frame and make up the difference with a longer box.
