Sure seems like a lot of folks asking for help think we can read minds!
Really hard to give reasonably good advice if:
You did not give us the year, model, transmission, and any mods or tunes!
You did not give us the specific issue (not "seems to act up sometimes").
You did not give us the specific symptoms.
You did not give us the history of the issue, and attempts to fix.
Take a little time to research not only the previous posts that may pertain, but also the nomenclature (search is your friend). The better you can describe the vehicle, the problem, and your previous attempts to resolve - the more applicable and effective our responses can be!
Grabbed my chest. Haven't heard that in eons when I was a Military Man...... Used to have to wright those. I need a drink! Decades gone by.
SITREP: Situational Report. If you don't know what it is, chances are you never had the misfortune of working in a Command Staff! Ugggggggggg. Not to be outdone by the EXSUM: Executive Summary, or BLUF: Bottom Line Up Front........ OMG!!
I could go for hours with the Acronyms the Military uses. Luckily, I'd die before I get a list done.
It was a lot nicer when Pres. Regan got into office!!! Jimmy did nothing but Cut, Cut, Cut. The phrase then "DMWL" Do more with less.

Now, *that* is funny!!! Use the 'search tool' first and *then* post the question if there are *no* results???? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Geeze, this is the age where we expect to have instant gratification, have the answer come to us, and not do any work!
Shoot, this forum would probably have 20K fewer threads if everybody actually used the search tool to get the answer rather than blindly post the question . . . Just say-in
There are lots of threads where I start to type a response, but then reconsider and tell myself not to as all the details are available if only the OP would *search* for them. There are even more threads that I do not even open as the title gives low confidence that the OP did a search first . . .
So, guess to sum it up and put it in lingo best suited for Pirsch: NSTR
I agree with most of this, especially when a newbie posts up a question pertaining to something that just about every PSD owner that has owned one for over a week would know.
But then there are many members here who have been here a long time and come around to "socialize" and sometimes ask questions that could easily be Googled. Sometimes this brings up another big discussion of a common issue that has been discussed before and during the process new information and ideas might come up, and newer members can add their .02. Like batteries, starters, tires, tuners, OBD scanners etc. Also this enables people to learn about something they may not have known about, like the fuel line failure, or perhaps a new product like the Dorman up pipes or the latest OBD software.
That's what makes this the best, most active PSD forum on the net.
There will always be the one post newbie just looking for a quick answer.
Most likely the nut in front of the steering wheel...
Or maybe the A** in the drivers seat!
All right, I tightened the nut and gave a swift kick to the A**, and it's better, but it took you 14 minutes to respond and I was stranded in my driveway. Maybe try to respond faster next time.
I saw SITREP last night before heading off to sleep and thought I will wait to read that one in the morning. I am on leave right now for the holiday and will be retiring in a couple of months after 22 years, 3 months and 28 days of active duty service.
I had a good chuckle to myself when reading the words above and thought I would put my agreement on the BLUF titles and speak against the FUBAR ones...
Most of the time the Google gunkulator with FTE on it can sort things out if you cannot find what you are looking for using the search option.
