I have a 2004 Super Duty with a 6.0 diesel. Recently the windshield washer seems to have lost some of it's spray power. It still sprays, just not very hard. I know it's not frozen, as it started this before it got cold. Any ideas? Any and all replies are much appreciated!
Does it look like the stream has gotten heavier?
I had to replace both nozzles right after I got mine in 2012
because one was blown out and was more like a garden hose.
I did both but only the one was bad.
Place you finger over the nozzle and see it the other one sprays better
and then switch and check the other side.
You may have some dirt inside the nozzle, take the hose off under the hood and blow air in through the nozzles itself . Don't blow into the hose side, if there is dirt it'll make is worse. Reconnect and try them again. I have to do this every now and again to one of my trucks.
Another thing to check is remove the bottle then remove the little pump. There is a screen on the end of it that gets plugged up. I had a jelly like substance blocking mine a few years back.
