I'm from Winkler so I know most of that southern part from Stuartburn through to Cardiff and Gainsborough. My Grampa was the shoemaker in Glenboro during the late 30's up to 52 and serviced the airforce boys and farmers for any canvass and leather work they needed done. Used to go to the PAOC church camp at Manhatten beach on Pelican lake across from Ninette, Used to ski at Lareviere. Had a blow out on a front tire 2 miles west of Pipestone and my spare had been swapped out for an temporary tire that didn't fit over the spindle. had to roll the blow out to that little garage on the road into Pipestone to get it changed, luckily he had a used one. It started to rain and the jack sunk into the shoulder 3", sure cursed that day. We were on the way to Estevan for the carnival and showed up 4 hours late for set up. That road from Estevan to the trans Canada can be a trip through hell when the cross winds pick up. Forgot that we pulled the spur line out of the Melita area in 79 so my immigrant travellers may have a hard time finding that rail line.
Been a while since I stopped by, hope everyone is well. I see that I've got to flip the clocks on my work computers next weekend. Spring will hopefully be right around the corner, I'm anxious to get my Mercury out of storage and back on the road.
Those slide outs sure add footage inside, makes these trailers more like cabins than motel rooms. Sure you'll catch lots of black flies, hear they're the size of chickadees.
Good looking unit and it must pull nice with the rig up front.
Yes don't know it's there most of the time and with the set back axle in the truck it turns as sharp as my F350 for tight campsites. Lived in the NWT for 22 years so know about the bugs, some you can hear coming and duck!! Thanks Perry
