Order acceptance until VIN???
How long have you been seeing it taking to get your VIN number and projected build date after your order acceptance?
I ordered my MY17 Edge and F150 on the same day (1 Dec 16). I received my order acceptance back on 6 Dec 16. I have only gotten back an estimate build date and VIN number on the Edge on 11 Dec 16. The build date on the Edge is 2 Jan 17 and estimated arrival date of 31 Jan 17. It will have to set at the dealer until 1 Mar when I am estimated to return from overseas.

When we ordered our '15 F-150, the order was accepted within a week. The dealer advised us of the VIN in 2 or 3 weeks. After that we could use the VIN to track the build in cotus (when cotus worked).

I ordered my truck November 25th, 2015. Had order acceptance Dec 1 and build date Jan 4th and VIN on Dec 8th.
COTUS never worked for my truck. Once my truck was built I was able to track it in ETIS.

Ordered my '17 Lariat on 27 October. Got a call from the dealer about two weeks ago with a projected build date of 19 December and a projected delivery date of approximately 30 days after that. It seems that right after mine is to be built, the plant closes for 10 days for the holidays. When the plant closes all transportation stops as well so it will sit in a staging lot near the factory for those 10 days. All in all about 90 days from order acceptance till projected delivery.
