Guys ,I need some help. It would be greatly appreciate if someone on here has some pull or insight on finding out the status of my truck. It was ordered Sept the 27th and have yet to get any updates. Dealer keeps saying they system isn't showing anything.cant even find out if the vin has been issued or not . I have order sheet if someone can lend a hand ..
Sounds off to me as well. I ordered mine on Aug 4th, and my truck was ready for pick-up on Oct 12th. I didn't track my truck in COTUS, so I cant comment on when it was published a VIN, etc...
Haven't been issued a vin# , the dealer says nothing has been created. Nothing out of the ordinary, ordered a SRW 350 CCSB PS Platinum, no inflatable seatbelts... Just seems strange with as many that are popping up on auto trader , cars.com,etc.. that I cant even get a vin #

We've basically ordered the same truck ('18 F350 CCSB SRW Platinum). I'd say something is up at the dealer level. I was issued a VIN within 3 days of ordering and a build date within 5.
It's possible the dealer does not have allocation, but typically custom orders are automatically granted allocation.
what is the allocation part of the deal, not familiar with it? I'm in south Alabama
Allocation is a dealer's ordering ability, set by Ford. Take the Raptor for example. An individual depart may only get 3-4 Raptors in a given year. So the dealer can order 4 total and then they are done for the year. In the case of the Raptor, most dealers can't order more, even if it is a customer order.
Some dealers have low allocation numbers and are limited when it comes to ordering above and beyond their allocation amount.
