BigStu59 - Any luck yet on an ETA for your truck? Hopefully they don't sit in Benicia to long...

Finally picked up mine today!! Salesman called this morning and said It came in with a cracked windshield....but would have it replaced by the time I got off work. I stressed OEM glass only. That took some glamour away from my excitement for the rest of the day. When I went to pick it up and after inspecting the replacement glass to be OEM, I was relieved. I hated to lose my KTP sticker but I didn't stare at it anyway. I was also disappointed to see it had Continental tires as I was hoping for at least Goodyears on a Lariat Ultimate truck. On the way home, this thing was quiet and rode like butter compared to my '13. I also drove like an old man compared to my normal habits. It was dark during rush hour and I couldn't help being cautious.
When I got home, I went under inspecting the underside on my creeper. With my '13 that had 20's, I could go from one end to the other underneath. My '17 with 18's, I couldn't get past the front air dam. Measuring from the ground past the center of rear axle to the top of bed rail, I was within 1/2 inch of my '13. I'll do other measurements tomorrow to compare my notes. Both F350 4x4's with same options except the wheel size. While under there, I noticed my Lariat came with the capped plugs I used for step lights as the previous years. Probably also for the power folding boards.

Does yours have the FX4 package? Mine is a Lariat Ultimate with 18" wheels but came with Goodyears. I know adding FX4 changed my tire selection in the build page.

It's just a 4X4. That might be the key. Had I known this be the case, I would have opted for the Fx4 package. I've had the worst luck with Continental in the past. I wish Ford were more specific on tires when ordering. It just said BSW tires instead of POS... I guess I'll have to see how far my luck goes on these.

Mine was supposed to be delivered to the dealer on Tues. but what I have heard is Benicia had flooding problems at the yard and now they have to be inspected before any will be released. I sold my 4Runner this week and now without. I was supposed to pick up my first Ford today and drive it home. Now have been told it could several weeks if no damage.Very disappointed, took some of the excitement away.

My truck was delivered to Benica at 11:00am today. Hopefully it doesn't sit at the rail yard to long. My dealer said they can "will call" the truck once it's unload from the rail car. A driver can then go pick it up and drive it the 14miles to the dealership. I guess this is faster then waiting for the transport company to deliver the truck. We'll see.

My dealer also heard the Benica rail yard was flooded and all shipping operation are on hold with no ETA.

I got this update also. Luckily I wasn't affected and signed papers 1/18. If you don't have an update, maybe you were affected? Hopefully you weren't.

Ron DuPratt Ford, in Dixon, house delivered my truck to the East Bay in Alameda(about 70mi drive) to sign the papers. They were wonderful to work with.

Dealerships have the ability to order certain rim/tire combos that you can't get on the internet build site. I ordered the machined 20's w/ Michelin LTX AS2's as an adder option through the dealer and OMG this combo is amazing. I have no idea why this isn't an option through the build site.

These tires are SO smooth and the rims look great against my truck. The rim/tire combo runs a couple inches taller than the standard combo and look great!

When did your truck land in Benicia? Mine got there last Friday and so far still there. For me getting information from Ron Dupratt has been like pulling teeth.

Mine came on the same train last Friday also. I was told today it was going to be delivered to Future Ford in Sac either tonight or tomorrow morning. I ordered it on 9/26/16 so it's been a long wait.

Who is your sales rep? I did not have this issue. Always straight answers with news I didn't always like. Great experience with them so far. I worked with Missy.

Came on same train, same dealership. Wonder what the deal is. Guess I'll be calling them first thing in the morning.
