EBP sensor

Thinking of cleaning out/changing EBP sensor and tube in attempt to enhance running and mileage.
Anybody have input on aftermarket sensor? At $90 range for OEM, I'm hoping for a less expensive one that will last.

There are very few instances in which the OEM is not the best option for replacement parts on these trucks.

Any reason why you don't think it could be cleaned up to work well once again? Isn't that pretty common to just clean them up? I'm probably going to clean both of them on my truck this weekend.

Just to reiterate, OEM sensors only on these trucks, there have way too many issues with after market ones. Then you end up paying twice in the long term....

You can clean them up, Carb cleaner, brake cleaner, works great... DO NOT stick anything inside the sensor opening, there is a membrane inside that you will destroy and THEN you will be buying the $90 replacement. Check your OBD flavored program and compare Baro/EBP/Map readings, KOEO, if it's working correctly, your PSI reading shouldn't be more than 2 off....

OEM

OEM sensors only for our trucks. I tried to clean mine out with carb cleaner. I ended up buying a new one from Riff Raff. The tube is easily cleanable with throttle cable or weedeater cable and carb cleaner.

Another vote for Ford/International parts. Just talked to another friend who had an aftermarket EBP sensor go bad.

Will ck Clay at Riffraff. I could clean everything up as guzzle site details, but figured as long as I was doing it, might as well just replace it. I have 164K on clock and no prior history. Don't know how long they might last.

I can clean the tube if no issues.
Anybody know how long the sensors last?

IDK how long they last but mine was carboned up pretty good, I was able to put the part # in the search on ebay & got one in the sealed MotorCraft plastic for less than half the going price at the time. Seemed like the seller had quite a few of sensors from Ford, my guess he worked at a Ford dealer hahaha
