I spent some quality time with my truck for the first time in a long time yesterday. Pulled the multi-position chip from the PCM. Seems it liked to default to the POS 1 program- which was a 1400 RPM High Idle program. Not so fun to drive that way. I even had the little plastic blankoff with the ZDR3 program sticker still in the top drawer of the toolbox. Actually used something I stored for 15 years...
Oh and figured out my GEM Module is not drowning from a leaking windshield seal. I had my suspicions while wheeling up Casa Loma Rd a couple of weeks ago. The truck was flashing all the different dash lights and even cut out for a moment. Turns out I was missing a nylock on my custom battery hold down and, "Houston we had contact."
