OK....I just got off the phone with the dealer...NO SCHEDULED BUILD DATE YET!!!!!!....whats going on?....I ordered my Lariat SCrew on 5-16-03!!!....Dealer said he heard some new rumor that there's a problem with the 2 tone ...said he was going to check on it today and let me know....I hear (read) all kinds of folks on here that ordered after me and already have build dates. He said I am priority 13....I have no idea what that means...although he said the lower the number the better. Anyone here that can explain to me what priority 13 means!?...
I wouldn't be too discouraged yet. I ordered mine (Lariat SCREW 4x4) one of the first days possible (March 29th) and it is scheduled to be built Sept. 4th with an estimated delivery of Sept 22nd. BTW, I ordered my 97 F-150 in April of 1996 and didn't receive it until October 16th of 1996.
whoa!...thanks for the info...but now I feel worse!...lol...I was hoping to have the thing by mid september at the latest. And going by when yours will be built...mine probably won't be going down the line till mid to late September. Hopefully delivery is QUICK!
So when did they start taking orders?...the dealer I went through wouldn't let me order any earlier than I did. I was ready to order in Jan after I saw it at the detroit auto show.
Guess I just have to hold my breath a little longer...
If I recall correctly the source book came out on March 27th and my dealer called me that day to come get a copy. He put my order into the computer with me sitting there on March 29th. It had been on "temp hold" up until last week when I got my build date. Now, I heard that dealers were only allotted a certain number to pre-order in that March/April/June timeframe. If that is the case your dealer may have already put his allottment into the system. This is only speculation on my part.
Just got word that my 04 FX4 Screw build date is 9/8, i ordered it on 5/8. No word on estimated delivery. A coworker just told me that his friend picked up his 04 Screw last week from a NC dealer. Don't know when he first placed his order. This is the first person that I have heard that has gotten his Screw. I think 4 months to wait on a vehicle is a bit ridiculous.
