What are the different priority codes and meanings? Does 1 mean high or low? does 10 mean high, low or normal?
Do the dealerships get price discounts if a lower priority then a higher priority?
I'm having problems with my dealership. I ordered on 11/19 and expected date is 2/7, just found this out yesterday finally. They still don't know a build date and never had. 1 week ago, they had no idea when it would be in.
Also, if you guys can help out, post what you ordered, just model, and date ordered, built and delevered.
The LOWER the number, the HIGHER the priority the order has. 10 is the highest priority, 99 will never be built. But it only matters within your particular dealer's order bank, not all of Ford. If Ford hasn't allocated any S/Ds to your dealer for this period, then the truck won't get built, regardless of the priority. 11 is a very high priority, but if the dealer has 15 other orders at a 10 priority, guess what- your truck won't get built for a long time.
A very confusing game played by Ford, they've used it for years (too many, if you ask me), and I'm still trying to figure it out.
KTplotts, I thought they only gave you a delivery date when they got a VIN and build date. I ordered an F350 CC SRW 4X4 Lariat V10 LB loaded with Sunroof on Dec 3/04. I ran the VIN they gave me on an Oasis Forum on another website and my truck was built on Jan 11/05. Delivery is estimated Jan. 31. I was relieved because my order was a priority 40 so I thought I would be waiting a lot longer. With the V10s only making up 10% of the S/D market, maybe that is why the order went faster. Good Luck, Wrench.
