"holding Yards" Update?

After reading about the "holding yards" that Ford has set up to park the new 04's I e-mailed a line worker, whom I found on another web site regarding the possible weld problems, and this is this is what he said.

"The trucks sitting in those yards are not all fom the same thing. We have had trucks on hold since we started the full launch in June. Dealers were not even supposed to be receiving them until late Aug or early Sept. but we have built more trucks than anyone expected. I do know some trucks have been shipped to Texas and other places in limited numbers. I also know that these trucks have been gone over two and three times to be as sure as possible for no defects. In a perfect world I would say that we found all problems. I am not saying there are defects, but remember we are humans and things do get by us. Thanks for the concern."

"holding Yards" Update?

I don't believe it as the trucks that are sitting on the yards are the first ones made and what you see being shipped today are those that are leaving the line on a daily basis. Why would they hold the first units and ship those that were finished after frame modifications were shipped to ford for the second run.

There are 7200 trucks sitting on the 42 acre site I reported earlier and just this last weekend ford had shop fixit people on site sat an sun doing modifications. As of today there are still trucks sitting on this site with their hoods up. The site person today told me they must be off the site by sept 11th. I don't believe they are holding off for some big main event. I think they may want you to believe that but these trucks are having changes done to them on a daily basis.

"holding Yards" Update?

Can anyone in the Hampton Roads area give us an update?
My Lariat is "on hold" for "small modifications" as are at least
two other trucks ordered from my dealer. Thanks
