Alternator went bad. Looking at the 185amp from FICMrepair. Locally I've found a 140amp from the Ford dealer, 135amp from Oreilly. It has the heavy duty in it now (140amp I believe). I don't run any extra power accessories except pull a camper in the summer sometimes which I guess is a draw on charging the camper batteries. I don't think I need anymore than the 185amp but would the 135 from Oreilly's work?
And the Leece-Neville 230 is awesome as well. Customer service from DC Power is horrible, buy it from Ed if that's one you choose, he's easier to deal with.
Every 140 amp alternator I find at a parts store says it's dual alternator, top unit. I assume this won't work on my single alternator setup?
I posted in your other thread too... The 140 top is the same as your 140 High Output. Just buy an overdrive pulley and do the cabling mods (see your other thread)...
