Alternator Advice Needed

I need more amps than the stock alternator in my '87 F250 will put out (to handle a slide-in camper). Local parts stores have no alternators that are much higher amperage. Does anyone know of an alternator of 100 amps output (or more) from another model truck that will bolt up to the'87 300 engine?

Alternator Advice Needed

ive been running into the same problem with the addition of my E-Fans and my trailer hook up wires. the most that is made for my truck is a 75 amp.

i know that powermaster makes 140/80 amp alts (max output/idle) that are 1 wire (to battery)

CVR makes 200 amp alts (not sure what they fit)

Some Ford 250/350 diesel version use 130 Amps alt. look for it.

Alternator Advice Needed

go to the wreckers and get a single wire ac delco 100 amp alternator , believe it is the S series , if you have serpentine belt watch as some gms have 5 grooves not six as ford but some seem to have 6 and the v belts are compatible , there is a website ,possibly MADD wiring gives all details, there are older ford alts. that put out 100 amps but may not fit as easy as gm as they were on Lincolns and had large cases.
