Anyone seen this before

Last Saturday I went to move my 2002 f250. 7.3l out of the drive way. Started up funny so I let it idle for a couple min to warm up. Put it in reverse and hit the pedal and got nothing. Back in park and would rev up to about 1k. So I shut it off took out the key and waited a couple min and tried again. This time no problems. Sunday drove it to church and on the way home got a dead pedal once. Went to drive it today and got a flashing od light and no peddle again. I knew I needed a new assembly so I went and got one. Came home and found the problem. Btw this one I pulled out was a dorman also. Changed it and runs again and no flashing od light. Guess the trans didn't see the pedal

Maybe your mechanic was trying to lower the idle rpm lol jokes aside that is definitely odd though.

That's a new one for me too. Glad you found the problem though.
