Front Camera View - Rear Camera View

My F350 (with tow technology bundle - i.e. all the cameras) will be built the week of 12/12/16.

I'm looking for input from those who have the tow technology bundle.

1. I assume the tailgate camera looks DOWN so that you can see to hookup a conventional trailer....right??

2. What about the FRONT camera? Does it look DOWN as well???

The reason I want to know is....I'd like to be able to align / attach a snowplow using the front camera (without using a person to spot me)...this would be great.

If the front camera can't look DOWN like the rear camera, then I think Ford blew it. If this is the case, I wonder if a tailgate camera could be retrofitted to the front for this purpose?

I played with the cameras in a Lariat Ultimate at the dealer last week but honestly don't remember the angle of the front camera. However, I bet you could make use of the trailer add on camera for this purpose if necessary. No retrofit would be needed, just run the cable over the cab and plug it in at the rear of the truck. It's rather expensive to only use it to hook up a plow, but if you also tow a large trailer it might be worth the investment.

They are fisheye cameras, all 4 of them, including the ones under the mirrors, fisheye means that they see a full 180 side to side and up down, they use the 4 cams to make the full 360 view that will probably be your best bet but your snow plow might get in the way! And the part that's going to **** you off is they all turn off if you go over 10km/h

I've yet to play with the 360 camera system as it seems like most the trucks i'm looking at don't have them. But I do know that the reason you can see when your hitching up with the rear camera is because it is located in the tailgate pointing downward (you can zoom it in which makes hitching up way easier), its view doesn't move at all, they are stationary cameras. So moving the rear camera to the front wouldn't do anything for you. They show the front view in this video
I've never hooked a plow up so I don't know if that front view would show you what you need.

Thanks Rd0g....yes sadly, it looks like the front camera isn't aimed downward as much as I would like. Thanks for posting!
