Hesitation in acceleration and rough idle

Would my truck restore more power if I delete egr valve with tuner and makes difference? Or it only makes difference in diesel-powered engine?!

mine is 5.4L..

The EGR delete in Ford 6.0s is a reliability improvement, it does not net you an increase in power.

On the modular motors it's said to give a very small gain, but you can't just turn it off in the tune. You have to actually remove the EGR and EGR tube then put a block off plate on, then turn it off in the tune.

Hi Kove, thanks for reply. So basically we have to block it as a DIY then by turn it off by Tuner...now I got it

Why do you want to remove the EGR? If you're looking only for performance, then don't do it. It is not a performance enhancement.

Hi Stewart, actually this is not my main concern! Lately I have a hesitation in acceleration and kinda rough idle, I picked codes p0102 Mass air flow sensor low input and p0453 evaporate issue.. cleaned MAF then completely changed it, furthermore I have changed the MAF wiring harness as well with no luck of getting rid of this code...thus thats why had considered an egr problem that might solve this problem, what do you suggest?!

Ah! In light of the further information you've posted, I'm moving this over to the 5.4L forum.
