I'll be driving along everything's fine running good has power all of a sudden.....bloom no power ses light water in fuel light and abs light... let my foot off the gas pedal power comes back on all lights go off put my foot on the gas pedal zoom down the road we go... has happened a few times in the last couple days. It did completely lose power last night on my way home and again this morning on my way to work I put the truck in neutral turn the key off turn the key back on wait for the wts light to go off and it started right back up and away down the road we went both times....
I am in need of a Catholic exorcism..
Data makes troubleshooting these issues as well as the health status much easier than beating both your Head and Wallet to a slow painful death.
Last two weeks my Toughbook (IDS Scantool and Programmer) was broken. I used AutoEnginuity exclusively and a Pocket Scope. I easily identified a defective Clock Spring on a 2010, bad IRP on an 05, and a defective CAN module on a Chrysler.
I see a lot of stuff about the Android and IOS Apps. They're great for monitoring and doing some checks. Don't get this wrong, I like them all now that I have the time in retirement to learn them. I'm not getting rid of my Ford IDS.
So, if your going to keep her and hope to get her 100%, you're going to need one of these evil Scantools that work on your Truck.

tells me i need to buy the add-on for ford to get the rest but when i go to download it tells my it doesnt have the pids to read my truck...lol
