I tried to start my truck this weekend and it wouldn't. When I turned the key, the only thing that happened was a really fast clicking sound from the starter relay. I checked my cables for good connections and what-not. The battery looks to be in good shape. Would the obvious be a bad relay? Or is there something else I should check?
Also physically inspect the battery cables from end to end and make sure they are not corroded. Sand them off with some steel wool, smear with dielectric grease, and remount to make sure you have a good connection and no resistance from corroded wires or contacts.
Thanks for the replies......I'll check the battery when I get home tonight.
I did check the battery cables from end to end to eliminate them as the problem. They all looked good, but I cleaned them anyway for good messure, but I still got the same result.
