I'm tempted to go 50", but realize it may be overkill in many cases. Thinking maybe that using 2 smaller bars, under and over, might have benefits, or maybe 4, under and over and side by side.
In other words, I haven't a clue. Need some facts and opinions as well as innuendo or even just flat out bs. Set me straight or confuse me further. All is welcome.

I bought everything from Rough Country instead of Rigid, personal choice and based on reviews and warranty I didn't see the need for twice the price. The light in the grill is a 30 inch and most people install two, might do that too just to brighten sunny days, but the bottom is a 20 inch. Each is on a separate uplifter switch and I absolutely love the daylight in the middle of the night.
I'm not able to access the Rough Country website for some reason. Amazon doesn't give much information.
Questions ( not necessarily about Rough Country) :
Do they have bottom mounts? If so what is the spacing?
Height of both single row and double row?
A 5D lens appears to put out more light than a 4D. (Youtube video) Amazon lists those as well as 6D and even 7D lenses, many at a lower cost, which is sometimes a red flag. Are these an improvement or simply a gimmick?
Five watt Crees in a quality brand, based mainly on price, seem to be mostly single row. How do these compare to a double row light with 3w Crees?
Do they restrict airflow to the radiator? In my case not grill mounted, but on the brush guard.

They have brackets that can be mounted from top, bottom or for depth like hidden in the grill for instance. As for the lens questions I can tell you my previous light suffered minus 30 degrees below zero, elevations over 12,000 feet and heat over 120 degrees. Yes the units say made in China but mine never failed and every time I call them for a question they are on top of it with an answer, many times beyond my electrical capabilities no less. In my experience a double row is usually brighter than single but it's the lumens that matter as well as the color and most importantly the ability to aim them where you want, with their brackets you can do just that. I haven't seen any change on my temp gauge whatsoever even when towing so I don't think they restrict much, or at least not enough to make a difference.
After reading several reviews, I went with a Westin 30".
I was under the impression that it was USA made, but sure enough, it wasn't. Made in China.
Still a nice light. Heavy, with a nice heat sink.
I also ordered a set of Rigid LED fog lights from Amazon.
The Rigid lights, while looking bullet proof, had obviously been a return. The box had been retaped and screws were missing from the lens plate. Odd, both fog lights had the same two middle screws missing. It gave me the feeling that the lights had been repaired under poor quality control. With Rigid's great reputation and all, I'm not sure they'll get any more of my business. Too much money to be disappointed.
