Using a maul is therapeutic for me. I just picture the log as one of my daughter's boyfriend's head. It makes work quick and entertaining.
I managed to get a little work done so far. I e-mailed the info for the douche nozzle insurance adjuster. Maybe I can get paid now and he'll stop freakin' harassing me.
Family fun time is starting out wonderful so far. The first people to show up are the ones I tolerate the least. I came to "pick up Kasie" to take her to Granny's house. ....I'm just taking my time getting back.
I'll be in the shop sanding and painting. I have a tailgate to knock out today, then get started on the Mustang. I need to primer a few spots, then block it out, then it should be ready for some color. The whole thing is not all that bad, but it does have issues, still.
Well like I said I would got ol red cleaned off, fired up and out of the garage under its own power! Then the carb started acting stupid and it died on the return trip from a mini test drive.
Ol silver had to jump start it and then back in the garage it went. I hope to get back to it. And put the 39.5's I have waiting in the shed for it.
Finally home. I'm glad we went down to keep an eye on the repairs. If I hadn't she probably would have been thoroughly taken to the cleaners. They tried to feed me a line about needing a new master cylinder anytime there was a failure in the brake system. After I asked a few specific questions they got the idea that I knew better and suddenly the master cylinder was fine. She's fixed up and good to go without anyone having to mortgage the farm to do it.
I got a screamin' deal on most of the stuff I need to fix a Chevy Colorado at the shop today. A radiator, A/C Condenser with drier, fan shroud and engine fan for $50! Then got a complete bumper assembly for $150. Just plain dumb luck to find that stuff. Then I got back to the shop and blew some paint on a Nissan truck tailgate so I can deliver that on Monday. So, I guess I DID go shopping on black Friday, but does parting a truck out in a random guy's back yard really count?
I got my missing parking brake cable today....then went ahead and bought a fuel tank hose for Bullet . got a really nice 4 foot ladder on a black Friday deal at Lowes for $19.98. Now I can climb up to work on Ol Big Red and Bullet. Bandit already has a bad **** bumper to climb on
I got a free Ford logo tire pressure gauge for Black Friday. They were part of the big tire event. Other than that I spent most of my day pulling the dash out of a Grand Marquis.
Morning all. It's brisk out there this morning. Anakin wouldn't go out this morning until I put his coat on. I'm going to try to get caught up today on the to-do list that got postponed yesterday. First task is to get the tires installed on the van...
